BROUGHT BACK! From Our International Exchange

In this year's summer exhibition, Bavarian artists, writers, and composers who have taken part in our Artist-in-Residence program in recent years show what their stay at our partner institutions around the globe has inspired them to create.

For 35 years, the Friends of the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus e.V. and the town of Schwandorf have been sending Bavarian artists, writers and composers to partner institutions around the world for several weeks as part of their Artist-in-Residence program. In return, international guests from these artistic fields come to Schwandorf-Fronberg every year to live and work for several weeks in the idyllic surroundings of the International Künstlerhaus.

The first exchange took place in 1989 with the VCCA Virginia Centre of the Creative Arts in Amherst, USA. Today twelve national and international institutions are among the Kebbel-Villa's exchange partners.
