To kick off this year’s exchange programme, our current guest artists Jutta Brunsteiner (Salzburg) and Debora Ando (Dortmund) cordially invite you to discover their latest works and engage in a personal dialogue with them on Sunday, 22 March 2026 from 14:00 to 17:00.
At 15:00, Jutta Brunsteiner will read from her texts.
Since the beginning of March, the two visual artists have been living and working at the Fronberg residence where they are developing new projects. Their residency is part of the international exchange programme run by the Förderverein Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus, which enables Bavarian artists to undertake residencies at partner institutions both in Germany and abroad, whilst in turn welcoming international guests to the region.
Jutta Brunsteiner comes from Salzburg, where she still lives and works today. After studying geography, she turned to the visual arts and has presented her works in numerous international exhibitions. For over twenty years, she has been teaching and leading workshops in Austria and Georgia. In her interdisciplinary practice, she focuses in particular on the fragility of the environment in the context of climate change as well as the vulnerability of femininity.
Debora Ando was born in Brazil and has been living and working in Germany since 2019, where she teaches printmaking and drawing in Dortmund. She completed her studies in Brazil and Ireland. In her artistic practice, which focuses on printmaking, drawing and camera-less photography, she explores spaces beyond measurable dimensions, as seen in her ‘Non-Places’ project. Her works have been shown in numerous projects and exhibitions across Europe, South America and Asia.
The artists and the team at Kebbel Villa look forward to your visit!
