As part of the International Weeks Against Racism, we will screen Claude Lanzmann’s powerful documentary Shoah (1985) from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the event hall of KEBBEL VILLA (2nd floor).
Created over the course of twelve years of research and filming, this monumental work documents the systematic extermination of European Jews by the Nazis. Without using archival footage, Lanzmann relies instead on haunting eyewitness testimonies and present-day images of historical sites, creating an unforgettable cinematic statement against forgetting.
The film’s total running time is 9½ hours. We warmly invite you to attend the screening.
