Michaela Fridrich is a freelance author as well as culture and music journalist. In addition to programs about music and culture, e.g. for Bayerischer Rundfunk, she writes articles for magazines, anthologies and booklet texts. Her own publications on topics related to music and cultural education are published by Richard Boorberg Verlag in the edition text+kritik. Currently, she is working on her first novel, which explores the depths of female identity, between West and East, between one's true self and the influence of upbringing, and between the present and the past.
Her cultural mediation work plays an important role in her literary project, as it explores the conditions and significance of artistic creation for society, as well as the attitudes and perspectives of different identity concepts. This is also reflected in her cultural-political podcast Kocheler ZwischenTon, where artists and cultural workers from various fields discuss questions about the relevance of art and its importance for human existence.
