Rabea Dransfeld, born in Wuppertal in 1988, studied fine arts (M.A.) at the Caspar David Friedrich Institute at the University of Greifswald. She lives and works in Berlin and Greifswald. In 2020, she was nominated for the Schloss Plüschow Young Artist Award and received several scholarships in 2019, including at the Salzamt studios in Linz and the Lukas Artist House in Ahrenshoop. In 2018, she won first prize at INSOMNALE and a scholarship for the auto mobilis II project. From 2017 to 2019, she was also part of the mentoringKUNST program of the Frauenbildungsnetz e.V.

Her works have been shown in numerous exhibitions, including Ground Control at the Caspar David Friedrich Institute, GOLD at the Kunstmuseum Schwaan and Junge Kunst aus Nordeuropa (Young Art from Northern Europe) at the Neues Kunsthaus Ahrenshoop in 2020. In 2016 and 2017, she was also represented in important exhibitions such as Caspars Spuren (Caspar's traces) in Landshut and Diorama in Greifswald. Her works have been published in catalogs such as Gold (2020) and Junge Kunst aus Nordeuropa (2019).
